The Vecht is actually a large open-air museum. Cycling and walking in this area you will come across country houses, fortresses, castles and mills. We have worked out some great tips for you!
FROM SMALL TO BIG
The mill of the Buitenweg polder is the smallest mill in the province of Utrecht and is located next to the Westbroekse Molen, which is the largest mill in the province. Both mills transfer the excess polder water into the nearby river De Vecht. The mills of the Westbroek and Buitenweg polder can be visited every Saturday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
KORENMOLEN DE HOOP
This beautiful windmill is located in Loenen aan de Vecht. Flour has been made here for over 300 years. You can go here every Saturday and still buy pancake flour, flour and wheat flour.
