RESTORATION

VILLA DE VIJVERHOF

In 2019 a start was made with the restoration of the country estate and the change of the outdoor courtyard into a hotel function. The country estate had fallen into disrepair after having served as a research institute for the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences for a long period. The national monument has been restored with the support of the Stichting Erfgoed Parels. The entire building has been overhauled from chimney to cellar. Ornaments have been restored, roofs have been restored, paint layers have been removed and reapplied, all electricity and installations have been removed and replaced and a new conservatory has been added.

BOUWBEDRIJF VAN DE VEN

Bouwbedrijf van de Ven took care of the complete restoration and new construction. Kurt Gouwy of Air Architecten supervised the restoration of the national monument and designed the new buildings on the country estate and the tea house.
